Founder and Director of the Bariatric Surgery Tijuana Center as well as the Chief of Bariatric Surgery for the Bariatric Center.

Dr. Miguel Navarro is a top bariatric surgeon, who completed his four year residence in general surgery training at Hospital General Tijuana (General Hospital of Tijuana). He went on to complete an advanced course in laparoscopic, bariatric and metabolic surgery at the University of Strasbourg, France.

Dr. Miguel Navarro is commited to surgical excellence and follow up care with patients. He now performs weight loss surgeries including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, duodenal switch and revision of bariatric surgeries. His patients appreciate his technical skills, as well as his understanding that losing weight is a complex journey.

Dr. Miguel Navarro has plenty of experience working in different areas of surgery including general surgery, vascular surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, advanced laparoscopy, trauma surgery and bariatric surgery.

Currently, Dr. Navarro is a distinguished bariatric surgeon providing all bariatric surgeries, including Gastric Sleeve and Gastric Bypass procedures, to U.S. and Canadian patients at his practice in Tijuana, Mexico.

Dr. Miguel Navarro is more than qualified to deal with any circumstances that may arise during surgery. He has successfully completed thousands of bariatric surgeries in his years of successful practice.

Dr. Miguel Navarro earned his medical degree from the Xochicalco University Studies Center, Faculty of Medicine, and completed his general surgery residency at Hospital General Tijuana (General Hospital in Tijuana), a medical institution that has developed the surgical residency into a well recognized program.

Dr. Navarro has completed fellowships in Advanced Bariatric Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery and Advanced Trauma Life Support, essential tools that allows him to deal with present epidemics as serious as Obesity and metabolic diseases.
